Keith Houghton took the long road to the books readers know him for. The English writer penned a fantasy novel in the early 1980s, followed in the mid-90s by a science fiction novel called Uth and three comedic stageplays — but 2011, the year he began self-publishing eBooks, is when things changed. That's also when Killing Hope appeared, the first of the four Gabe Quinn books collected in this guide, a run that wrapped up with Chasing Fame in 2017.
Houghton lives in north-west England with his partner Lynn, with three children and three grandchildren rounding out the family. Decades of writing in different forms come through in the finished product; the Gabe Quinn books are the work of an author who served a long apprenticeship.
