Behind the name Sara Douglass was Sara Warneke, who earned a Ph.D. in early modern history and lectured at La Trobe University before her fantasy career took off. Her Aurealis Award-winning fiction spans the Axis Trilogy, Wayfarer Redemption, The Crucible, and The Troy Game.
