Robert R. McCammon made his name during horror fiction's peak years before an extended hiatus following the novel Gone South. He didn't return to fiction until 2002, and his earliest work, starting with 1978's Baal, has become genuinely hard to find — several of those early novels stayed out of print for years.
This guide runs nine novels from his 2002 comeback, Speaks the Nightbird, through 2023's Seven Shades of Evil — the second act of a career that could easily have ended decades earlier.
