Born in Toronto and raised in Ontario's Kitchener-Waterloo area, Kathryn Rose studied literature and philosophy at York University before eventually relocating to Los Angeles, where she now lives with her husband and their pets. Her fiction blends fantasy with a steampunk sensibility, most visibly in the Metal & Lace series published by Flux.
