Books in Order: A Comprehensive Guide to Sabaa Tahir's Publications

Sabaa Tahir grew up helping run an 18-room motel in the Mojave Desert, a childhood steeped in her brother's comic books and whatever fantasy novels she could find. She wrote her debut, An Ember in the Ashes, at night while working full-time as a newspaper editor — a schedule that would exhaust most people, let alone a first-time novelist.

That book came out in 2015 and launched a YA fantasy series that this guide runs in full: four books through 2020's A Sky Beyond the Storm. Tahir now lives in the San Francisco Bay Area, where by her own account indie rock and colorful socks remain constants.
