Few suspense novelists can match the clinical resume Keith Ablow brings to the page. He graduated magna cum laude in neuroscience from Brown University, earned his medical degree at Johns Hopkins, and became board-certified in psychiatry as well as forensic psychiatry — expertise he also put to work writing for USA Today, Newsweek, the Baltimore Sun, and the Boston Herald, among others. His earliest books were nonfiction, including 1990's Medical School: Getting In, Staying In, Staying Human, before the novel Denial marked his crossover into fiction.

The six thrillers ordered here appeared between 1996 and 2005, closing with The Architect, and they occupy the territory he knew professionally: psychological suspense written by someone with genuine standing in the field.
