Books in Order: A Comprehensive Guide to Kate Rhodes' Novels

Academia nearly kept Kate Rhodes. She earned a doctorate and taught English at universities in the UK and the US before letting writing win — first with the poetry collection Reversal in 2005, then with her debut novel, Crossbones Yard, in 2012. That book opened the Alice Quentin series, the crime novels she has become best known for.

Six of those novels are ordered here, published between 2012 and 2018 and closing with Fatal Harmony. Rhodes builds her suspense on psychology, giving readers layered characters who reveal more of themselves as the series deepens.
