Jo Beverley, born in 1947 and passed away in 2016, was an illustrious English-Canadian author best known for her romantic novels. Her enthralling works include the renowned series, ‘Company of Rogues’, ‘Malloren’, among others. Jo was an alumnus of Keele University in Staffordshire where she earned her undergraduate degree. She discovered her penchant for writing during her early years, but it wasn’t until the 1980s that she chose to pursue it professionally, and what an illustrious career it was! During her career, Jo bagged five RITA awards along with multiple Romantic Times awards (inclusive of two Career Achievement awards). Furthermore, she held the distinguished position in the RWA Hall of Fame and RWA Honor Roll. Having spent numerous years in Canada, she and her husband eventually made the journey back to England, where she breathed her last. Leaving behind her legacy through her books, Jo got survived by her husband, two sons, and a granddaughter.
